Focus: Disadvantaged #Youngpeople who have been excluded from mainstream
Mike and his team make a huge difference in young people’s lives…The Wildings focuses on supporting young people who have been excluded from mainstream education…many have very disadvantaged and challenging backgrounds and The Wildings provides a calm and unique environment where they are treated fairly and with compassion. With a 1-2-1 teaching model, students receive huge amounts of time to help them overcome barriers to learning.
Set in the beautiful surroundings of the #Devon countryside, Mike’s vision is that the Wildings challenges perceptions of how schools like this operate. Mike and the team are truly driven to create a unique #socialenterprise that challenges the commercial for-profit business model that dominates the sector, often putting profit before young people.
We’ve been helping Mike with #businessplanning and #socialinvestment support, but because we really believe in what they do, we will always go the extra mile and do what’s needed ‘in the moment!’ We like to see ourselves as an extension of the team…we’re proud to support The Wildings…this is how #education should be done and we hope stakeholders will learn from the work they are doing. 🏫
