BCause Social Impact Review
It’s nice when a client takes the time to say nice things about the work you have done. But more importantly, this is about social impact and we are pleased that our support could lead to some transformative social impact for Cornwall.
I approached Jon to help me get to grips with a new business venture I’d been working on which had more of a social impact intention, but which I had been struggling to really articulate and had suffered a few setbacks. From the outset, the entire process felt both collaborative and creative, which was especially important to me coming from a design background. He was never afraid to ask the questions that pushed me to think deeper about the business and its purpose, and out of that came a true understanding of our customer offer and also how our attitude and values could permeate beyond just our physical spaces which was something I hadn’t imagined before. I made more progress in that first meeting with Jon than in the past two years of working on the business plan.
Taking things back a few steps from the many ideas and notes I had sketched out and working together on a Theory of Change opened my thinking up to how we can do things differently, and it’s exciting to now be in a position where we can plan and look to the future of a business model which has longevity at its roots.
